One of SOUL’s primary activities that is inevitably impacted by the current crisis is the annual conference. With great regret, the Board has decided that it will not be possible to hold the annual conference this year. This is not a decision that has been taken lightly. Unfortunately, to hold a successful conference, we would need to be committing now to venues and to various suppliers, on terms which would create financial liabilities even if the Conference had to be cancelled. While we are sincerely hoping that life will return to normal by the time that the SOUL conference would ordinarily be held, we do not feel it would be responsible to incur liabilities at this point when the situation later in the year is still very unclear.
